Biography
Jeneil Shim-Hue is a trained Visual Artist and Art educator. She is graduate of the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts.
Though she specializes in Ceramics, she explores other art making categories and techniques to represent themes relating to culture, identity and crime.
Miss Shim-Hue’s artworks have been on exhibitions since 2014, and she was a part of the collaboration with the “Bard College” and the “Edna Manley College” Students’ Exhibition.
As an educator, her aim is to present artworks that the viewer can connect with, be informed about, and be appreciative of their own identity, and that of others by acknowledging the differences and similarities.

Jeneil Shim-Hue is a trained visual artist, art educator, and emerging hospitality specialist.
She is a graduate of the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts, where
she honed her expertise in art education with a specialization in ceramics. Though ceramics was her primary focus, she actively explores various artistic techniques and mediums to represent themes related to culture, identity, and crime.
Since 2014, Jeneil's work has been featured in exhibitions, reflecting her deep passion for storytelling through visual art. Notably, she was part of the collaborative exhibition between Bard College and Edna Manley College, showcasing her ability to merge artistic creativity with cultural narratives. As an educator, she strives to present artworks that engage viewers, foster appreciation for diverse identities, and encourage meaningful discussions on cultural heritage.
Beyond the arts, Jeneil has expanded her professional skill set to include hospitality and tourism management. She is dedicated to enhancing visitor experiences by integrating cultural, historical, and artistic heritage into sustainable tourism practices. Her goal is to promote a deeper connection between individuals and their environmental and cultural identities through eco-friendly initiatives.
Her multidisciplinary expertise includes food service, guest relations, interior decoration, and event coordination. She is also skilled in digital design, printmaking, jewellery making, photography, painting, sculpture, and fibre arts.
With a strong commitment to education, the arts, and hospitality, Jeneil Shim-Hue continues to make an impact by merging creativity with service, ensuring that both her artistic and professional endeavours contribute meaningfully to her community and beyond.
